The Silent Auction took place on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 11 am- 2 pm and it was a great success this year! Many families from the school attended the event, as well as, returning families from previous years. It was quite busy and great to see everyone there!
The fire fighters were also able to stop by for an hour too and the children enjoyed exploring the fire truck and learning more about fire fighters. They were extremely friendly and it was so great of them to volunteer their time to our event.
The silent auction raised roughly $3 500 for the school which is fabulous! These funds will be allocated towards numerous playground renovations such as replacing the benches in the playground and possibly installing rubberized surfacing under our new playground structure.
Thank you again to all of those who supported our event!! It was greatly appreciated.

Lansing is a licensed, co-operative school with a long established history and reputation that currently offers three programs: a morning nursery school, an afternoon junior/senior kindergarten, and an afternoodles program.
Lansing Co-operative Nursery School was founded by Heather MacDonald and Lee Cowan in the fall of 1952. Its first location was a church basement. In 1957, through the efforts of a group of local parents and businessman, a permanent facility at 74 Church Avenue opened its doors to 80 children. Lansing prospered at that address for many years.
Since 1995, we have been enjoying our current facility which was built across the street from the original building. With over 50 years of experience, Lansing is well established and well respected co-operative school, where parents and teachers work together.
